What is the bubble in the villages?

The Bubble examines the lives of older people, often surreal, in The Villages, the largest retirement community in the United States. Rather than focusing so much on the lives of the characters in the film, “The Bubble” focuses more on the concept of The Villages and the impacts it has on people, the economy and the environment, both inside and outside the community. Vice's documentary, The Bubble, is about The Villages, the largest retirement community in Florida and across the United States. And while inmates in The Villages are happy to retire in their self-proclaimed bubble, residents of neighboring counties are anxious because public roads are now closed, consuming too much water and now have increasing regional control.
