The Sharon Rose Wiechens Reserve is the largest of the 11 nature reserves in The Villages, with 624 acres (including a gecko turtle reserve). About 1.6 million native Florida plants have been installed in the reserve. This wetland offers a view of wildlife from a waterfront that stretches across the swamp. There's also a 400-square-foot observation tower for more viewing opportunities.
The 913-acre Chitty Chatty Reserve is visible from walking trails along the western boundary of the reserve, in the villages of Chitty Chatty and Bradford. Located in the center of The Village of Marsh Bend, there is a 2.5-mile circuit that is a nature trail, a pedestrian walkway and a multimodal trail. The Hogeye Reserve is 81 acres and villagers can see while hiking the 2.5-mile Hogeye Preserve trail that begins at the Cattail recreational area.
